Tootsie Roll Candy Drive

The Juan Pablo II Knights of Columbus Council #14069 will be hosting a Tootsie Roll Candy Drive to help people with intellectual disabilities. In addition to selling the candy on the streets near St. Joseph Church, they will also sell Tootsie Rolls in front of the Jewels, Carnicerias Jimenez and Dunkin Donuts stores. 100% of the money raised will be given to local programs in Addison that help the intellectually disabled.

A special feature will be our Miss Tootsie Roll hostess at Dunkin Donuts on Friday and Saturday Morning.

Council Officer and Financial Secretary Training

Worthy Grand Knights

Please see the below and the attached regarding upcoming KC Academy Training sessions:

Saturday August 24, 2013 – Financial Secretary Training (I counted at least 12 – 14 new Financial Secretaries for this year) Academy Training – 08-24-13 – FS.pdf
Saturday August 24, 2013 – Council Officer / Director Training (Many many new GK and other Officers and directors) Academy Training – 08-24-13 – Officer.pdf

These are valuable training sessions – no matter your position or years with the Knights – there is always something useful that can be learned.

Please make every effort to attend.

Please reply with how many from your council will be attending each session – this is necessary so that the KC Academy can properly plan the materials/copies required and for the host council to set up the rooms.

Please reply by Monday August 19th, or as soon as you can after that date.
